Explains IUPAC nomenclature of alkanes, including how to name their substituents. Shows common conformations of ethane, propane, butane and cyclohexane along with their Newman projections and energy diagrams.

This describes what a cyclohexane chair is. A cyclohexane chair is a nonplanar conformation of a cyclohexane ring/organic compound. It is important to know how to convert these structures into Newman Structures.
