I do not believe that critics in the 60's and 70's were correct in predicting the death of
painting as an art form in contemporary art. I believe that, like most things in the
modern age, painting has evolved to include new technologies and formats in order

In a sense I would agree with the statement that Impressionism marks the beginning
of modern art, but after observation of the word modern, I am led to consider

and place is the growth of wealth and the number of wealthier families tied to the
government (“Florence in the Early Renaissance,” n.d.). Because of this, di

Pablo Picasso is one of the most famous artists in the art world. He, unlike many of
the artist you have learned so far, was famous while he was alive and creating his
artwork. He had a long career, 78 years, and created more than 20,000 pieces of
/
art. He created paintings, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, costumes, and theater
sets. He is most known for his paintings and creating the Cubist art movement. His
impact in the art world was tremendous. He is known as the father of Modern ...
