With this book, it is our goal to provide
examples of how to synthesize, integrate,
and apply physiological concepts to clinical
situations, in a format similar to that used in the
United States Medical Licensing Examination
(USMLE). Accordingly, we took examples of
high-yield concepts that we provide in the
classroom and turned them into challenging
multiple-choice questions.
Neuroscience stands out for its rationality in medicine. It has fascinated the
medical fraternity for ages, and it is one of the most important (and
challenging) topics tested in competitive and standardized medical exams.
This book presents a collection of multiple-choice questions that test
neuroscientific competencies of an aspiring physician, consistent with the
testing standards of USMLE Step 1.
The volume starts with three review chapters to set the scene. These

developmental and cellular processes. These include chapters on cell marking and lineage
tracing, epicardial cell methodology, colony forming assays for bone marrow stem cells,
isolation of adipocyte progenitors using Fluorescence Activated Cell Sor...
For over 35 years, biological scientists have come to rely on the research protocols and

the first to introduce the step-by-step protocols approach that has become the standard in all
biomedical protocol publishing. Each protocol is provided in readily-reproducible step-bystep fashion, opening with an introductory overview, a list of the materials and reagents
needed to complete the experiment, and ...

allowed him to persist through the multiple editions of the book, continually improving
and expanding on the text. The book travelled with him to numerous academic
institutions. Speroff’s Gynecologic Endocrinology and Infertility now tr...

The series will provide more comprehensive information that is also more focused
than is typically found in traditional clinical pharmacy text books (which cover all
topics in a single volume and typically cover a topic in one or two chapters). It will
allow pharmacists to select topics that are more applicable to their individual areas
of work, as well as areas that in the future they may wish to work in. Each volume
will provide a summary of the main theory that underpins the topic, but w...
