 Adjoa is the little girl who struggles to speak about her feelings  The story takes place in Ghana, 1. Adjoa=
 She is ridiculed by her grandmother because of her tiny legs. Africa, in a village called Hasodzi  17 years old

 Has a fear of talking because of her grandmother’s behavior

 She has thin and long legs
1. Insecurity/ Fear/ Innocence=
 She becomes an athlete
 Adjoa is not able to voice out her feelings
2. Nana=
because she fears that people would laugh at

 She allows her grandmother to ridicule her
about her legs and she does not say anything can  She does not think Adjoa should attend school
