Various Global Crimes and Criminal Issues
Every day there are many transnational crimes occurring. According to the National
Institute of Justice Transnational organized crime "involves the planning and execution of illicit
business ventures by groups or networks of individuals working in more than one country”
(https://www.nij.gov/topics/crime/organized-crime/pages/welcome.aspx). Most of the crimes
that are associated with transnational crimes are mainly Human trafficking, smuggling,
cybercrimes as well as money laundering, and dealing with endangered species, and body parts.
One of the biggest issues when dealing with transnational crimes is terrorism. Terrorism
is mainly used to create fear in people for political gain. Terrorism attacks have been an
increasing problem for many years. Some people think that terrorism attacks started getting bad
in 2001 with the world trade center, but in all reality,terrorism has been around longer than that.
But it is agreed that domestic and international terrorism is a global crime that the various
governments are actively combating. Terrorism is said to claim the most innocent lives, while
drug and human trafficking are two of the most financially successful global crimes.
