Advertising is the most employed method or strategy by several organizations to create market
for their products across the world. The most effective form of advertisement is use of website
advertising as a means for market creation; this form has the potency of reaching a wide market
without using physical contacts with customers (Wang & Thi Hoa, 2013). In this paper, I will
select the recreational/sports equipment companies; the two companies that will be used in
drawing their comparisons are Nike and Adidas.
However, before we compare the effectiveness of each company’s web design, there are a
number of characteristics that portrays a good web design. For instance, appearance, content,
functionality, website usability, and search engine optimization. Therefore, a website should be
visually appealing, professional and polished as well. This will be reflecting the company,
products as well as services. The company’s website has to be the first, and only, impression a
probable client receives of the company. An eye-catching site is far more expected to create a
positive notion and keep visitors on company’s site as they arrive (Wang & Thi Hoa, 2013). As
firms either large or small continue to crowd the web, the greatest challenge is to draw and keep
users' interest. Hence, such ideas are what personal relation professionals pay attention in order
to keep their businesses unbeaten. In terms of the content; along with the style, the website
should have substance. Remember that the clients will be looking for some information or data
which will enable them make decisions, as such it must be helpful and appropriate. The company
might use this opportunity to boost the visitor confidence in its knowledge and competence.
As far as functionality is concerned, each element of the website must work quickly and
correctly. The broken or defectively constructed elements will simply leave the visitors frustrated
