Réponse: Deltoid, Latissimus dorsi Situated on the back and draws the arm backwards and then inwards - like a rowing action

Muscles of the hamstrings - What is the position and action of the hamstrings?

Réponse: The hamstrings are situated in the posterior part of the leg and flexes the knee and extends the hips. They are a group of muscles and their tendons at the rear of the upper leg. The hamstrings flex the knee joint and extend the thigh to the backside of the body - they are used in walking and running.

Which muscle is found in the arm to extend the forearm?

Réponse: Muscles of the upper arm. The upper arm is located between the shoulder joint and elbow joint. It contains four muscles - 3 in the anterior compartment (biceps brachii, bracialis, coracobrachialis) and - 1 in the posterior compartment (triceps brachii). Triceps brachii is the muscle found in the arm to extend the forearm.

Name individual anterior leg muscles.

Réponse: The anterior compartment contain the sartorius muscle (the longest muscle in the body) and the quadriceps femoris group, which consists of the rectus femoris muscle and the three vasti muscles - the vastus lateralis, vastus intermedius and the vastus medialis.
