Workforce planning are processes used to ensure the right people are in the right place in a
company. Them processes include analyzing, forecasting, demand and supply analysis, a gap
analysis between the supply and demand, implementing solutions, then monitoring the progress
(Workforce Planning, 2021). Ultimately the goal in the end is the same, but the processes are
utilized in different ways depending on whether they’re looking for a workforce plan to
implement domestically or globally.
There are some differences between domestic and global workforce planning. If you’re
putting together a workforce plan domestically, you generally look at the laws and regulations of
that country or region. Although your workforce is domestic, encouraging DEI among the
workers is a good thing. When looking at a workforce plan globally you must take into account
not only the laws and regulations of the country or countries the company is operating in, but
also have to have an understanding of the different cultures of the people in countries the
company is in (Ormsby, 2023).

professionals can advance their careers as they move toward a global mindset. Ms. Gorman tells
