Interpretation

The quantitative data provided in the spreadsheet would be the employee hire date,

departments, salaries, and their bonuses. The qualitative date would be the employee

allocated within the company.

At Air Transportation Supply Company we currently have 77 employees, and 44 of our

employees have been employed with us for more than 30 years. Our employees salaries currently

ranges from $42,000 to $370,000, and I also noticed that everyone receives a $2,000 bonus but

management. Looking at the spreadsheet there were 5 employees received a performance score

of 1, and 7 employees with a high score of 4. The spreadsheet indicates that the combined

salaries for management employees account for 25% of the total salary expenditures. There are 4

employees in IT and they received the highest overtime. The data also shows that the lowest-paid

manager earns nearly three times more than the highest-paid non-management employee.

The questions that emerged from my interpretation of the spreadsheet data are:

What factors contribute to only a subset of employees within a department working overtime?

What defines an essential employee?

Is the performance score and manager commentary being utilized and kept current?

What factors are leading to the substantial revenue decline?

What factors have led to the wage gap between managers and other employees?
