Terrestrial (Land) biomes are determined based on the average monthly precipitation in
a particular location
This can be represented using a chart called a climatogram (climate diagram)
Tundra
Cold and treeless biome with low-growing vegetation
In winter, the soil is completely frozen
The underlying soil is know as permafrost since it is frozen throughout the entire year
Taiga (Boreal Forest)
