The field of psychology first came into focus in the 1800s when Wilhelm Wundt created the
first psychological laboratory at the University of Leipzig in Germany. Within that university,
he was created with establishing psychology by creating psychology as an academic discipline.
At that university, Wundt was known for having students that made great contributions to the
field of psychology, such as G. Stanley Hall. Hall is greatly known for being the first president
of the
American Psychological Association. While being associated with the association, he established
two widely used journals known as the American Journal of Psychology and the Journal of
Applied Psychology. By having these two journals, psychological science was translated to then
be used education, medicine, and business. As well as pursuing to be included in justice and
advertising. The APA has helped psychology change positively by limiting the exposure of
unethical use in testing and presentation. By doing so, it opened the chance for studies to be
published which can be accessed by future researchers who are looking into certain
psychological subjects. We can now fact check and build onto what other people have
