CONCLUSION

A c-fern is an unusual tropical fern called Certoperis Richardii. To experiment

with this plan was to observe the basic events of the plant’s life cycle, focusing on the sexual

phases and how it affects the generations. At the beginning, it was hypothesized that there would

be more spotted than solid green. After incubation, the results were more green than spotted,

which proved the hypothesis as incorrect. The first findings were more spotted (28) from F1

gametophytes than solid green (22). Our partner’s results confirmed the same findings, the

spotted was more frequent. gender did not factor into the results, nor did measurements and time

when beginning the experiment.

After weeks of contained light, sporophyte results completely changed. The last total was

(46) green and (54) spotted, the recent findings for my team was (32) green, and (18) spotted.

The total was (68) green and (32) spotted. The dominant trait fell to solid green, but also

remained to be the wild trait. The genotypes for the F1 generation in gametophytes were G and

g, leaving the original parent Gg.

The calculations from F1 had a higher spotted count to then square root after

subtracting the original with the expected and dividing. X2 resulted in .64 to fit in between .50
