Free enterprise stands for the economy where the market correlates prices, products, and servicesinstead of the government. This enables people to have the opportunity to own economic resources, such
as land and minerals; which allows these products to be sold. Thus, Mary Kay Ash, an advocate for free
enterprise, displayed how it was able to fulfill her destiny and support her community. Because of free
enterprise, this allowed Ash to set an example for others to follow; as they use the same resources to
inspire others.
Mary Kay Ash had shown dedication in her job as a free enterprise advocate. She was born in a small
location in Missouri and had experienced the Great Depression. Regardless, this forced her to meet the
hardships that families faced. Due to her encounter, this inspired her to become a free enterprise
advocate. With this path, she realized that making more money was more valuable than being under
someone’s control, which encouraged her to set up her business of selling cosmetics. Because of her
contribution to her community by donating money to charities and providing schools in Guatemala.
Furthermore, she served on many boards and committees, which encourages free enterprise and inspires
others to achieve their goals.
Through the passion that Mary Kay showed, this sets the stage for them to follow through with their
plans. Mary Kay Ash is known as the main contributor of Mary Kay Inc. She proved interest in business
when she was at a youthful age. Her father, a salesperson, taught her new ways to make profit when she
was eight years old. At age twenty, she opened her company, which produced cosmetics and personal
care products. Although she went through many obstacles, giving up on her dream was not beneficial to
her.
Success cannot be achieved without hard work and dedication. In 1938, at 36 years old, Ash created
another business focused on selling personal and beauty products. Because of her company’s success, it
was considered as one of the grand cosmetics companies. With this success, it encouraged her to
continue with her new plan to execute. She proved her work and expanded her company into new
markets. Due to her hard work and dedication, this had elevated Ash to become one of the best
entrepreneurs in America.
In conclusion, free enterprise played a significant role in Ash’s life due to her setting up her business,
becoming a leader within her community, and setting an example for others to follow. Through hard work
and dedication, this encourages us to preserve and to keep going. Because of Mary Kay’s example, she
has displayed that anyone can use free enterprise to help others and to sustain their future. When we
work to serve others, we learn that we are proving ourselves as leaders in the business world.
