employee satisfaction

, Questionnaire Scenario
You serve as a Human Resources Manager at Cape Union Mart’s head office in Cape Town,
South Africa. Your job is to ensure effective communication between employee’s as well as
workplace satisfaction amongst everyone within the organisation. This ensures the
minimalisation of disputes and optimal performance amongst employees, which is beneficial
to the company as services are delivered faster and at a higher standard, meaning more profit.
However, it has become apparent that some employees are unhappy with their circumstances
in the workplace despite no obvious faults within the system. Some employee's feel that their
work will benefit from a friendlier and more personalised environment. Whereas, others are
happy with the current stance of professionalism amongst employees as they do not wish to

negative effect on the productivity of employee's as well as the company. If the matter is not
resolved soon, these setbacks will be reflected in the employee's paychecks. The company
will be forced to either cut wages or staff to maintain their profitability. As Human Resources
Manager, you decide to set up a questionnaire to determine the employee's level of workplace
satisfaction. The results will serve as a benchmark to determine what the next steps are to
take towards solving these disputes. Based on your knowledge of Personology, you decide to
base the questionnaire items on the Ecosystemic Approach as well as African Perspectives.
