Oregon CE Hrs Right Ans - Oregon State Pharmacy Board may approve up

Electronic Transmission Tool Requirement Right Ans - (1). Prescription
drug orders may be transmitted by electronic means from a practitioner
authorized to prescribe drugs directly to the dispensing pharmacist.
(2). All prescription drug orders communicated by way of electronic
transmission shall:
(a). Be transmitted only by an authorized practitioner (Practitioner
designated agent is NOT allowed);
(b). Be transmitted directly to a pharmacist in a pharmacy of the patient's
choice with no intervening person having access to the prescription drug
order;
(c). Specify the prescribing practitioner's telephone number for verbal
confirmation, the time and date of transmission, the identity of the pharmacy
intended to receive the transmission and all other information required for a
prescription by federal or state law; and
(d). Be traceable to the prescribing practitioner by an electronic signature or
other secure method of validation.
,(3). An electronic transmission of a prescription drug order shall be stored by
electronic means or reduced promptly to writing, filed by the pharmacy and
retained in conformity with the requirements of ORS 475.165.
(4). The dispensing pharmacist shall exercise professional judgment regarding
the accuracy, validity and authenticity of an electronically transmitted
prescription drug order.
Oregon CE Renewal Right Ans - During the period from June 1 through May
31 of each license renewal cycle, each pharmacist must have satisfactorily
completed one and one half (1.5) continuing pharmacy education units (CEUs)
in an approved continuing pharmacy education program. Ten contact hours
equal 1 CEU. Fifty minutes equal 1 contact hour.
A program shall consist of therapeutics, pharmacy and drug law, or other
aspects of health care. At least one hour of continuing education credit must
be earned in the area of pharmacy and drug law.
Effective from June 1, 2011, at least one hour of continuing education credit
must be earned in the area of patient safety or medication error reduction.
Continuing pharmacy education credit accumulated in excess of the required
15 contact hours for annual license renewal cannot be carried forward.
A maximum of 10 hours (1.0 CEU) may be earned in any licensing year by
preparing and presenting CE programs. Pharmacists presenting CE programs
may earn one hour (0.1 CEU) for preparation time of one hour or more, plus
credit for the actual contact hour time of the presentation.
A pharmacist must show content of the course, and a description of the
intended audience (e.g. pharmacists, physicians, nurses).

marijuana to be an effective treatment for suffering caused by debilitating
medical conditions, and therefore, marijuana should be treated like other
medicines;
(2). Oregonians suffering from debilitating medical conditions should be
allowed to use small amounts of marijuana without fear of civil or criminal
penalties when their doctors advise that such use may provide a medical
benefit to them and when other reasonable restrictions are met regarding that
use;
(3). ORS 475.300 to 475.346 are intended to allow Oregonians with
debilitating medical conditions who may benefit from the medical use of
marijuana to be able to discuss freely with their doctors the possible risks and
benefits of medical marijuana use and to have the benefit of their doctor's
professional advice.

Usable Marijuana Right Ans - "Usable marijuana" means the dried leaves
and flowers of the plant Cannabis family Moraceae, and any mixture or
preparation thereof, that are appropriate for medical use as allowed in ORS
475.300 to 475.346. "Usable marijuana" does not include the seeds, stalks and
roots of the plant.

Right Ans - (1). There is created the Advisory Committee on Medical
Marijuana in the Oregon Health Authority, consisting of 11 members
appointed by the Director of the Oregon Health Authority.
(2). The director shall appoint members of the committee from persons who
possess registry identification cards, designated primary caregivers of
persons who possess registry identification cards and advocates of the Oregon
Medical Marijuana Act.
(3). The committee shall advise the director on the administrative aspects of
the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program, review current and proposed
administrative rules of the program and provide annual input on the fee
structure of the program.
(4). The committee shall meet at least four times per year, at times and places
specified by the director.
(5). The authority shall provide staff support to the committee.
