Chronic ingestion of alcohol decrease dilantin levels.

Dilantin nursing measures ✅1. Caution when giving IV due to tissue irritant.
2. Dilute with NS and don't exceed 50 mg/min
3. Encourage good oral hygiene to prevent gingival hyperplasia

5. Dilantin decreases effects of oral contraceptives.
