Define and Compare the science of Anatomy & the
science of Physiology. - answer Anatomy and
physiology are closely related concepts that are
often studied together. In a few words, anatomy is

while physiology involves the study of the

surface structure? - answer Dissection differ from
surface structure because in surface structure we
evaluate the skin of the person/animal. When in
Dissection we get to exterminate the inside the
organs and tissue.
What are the key differences between gross and
micro-anatomy? - answer Gross deals with the
large structures of the human body that can be
seen through normal dissection. Microscopic deals
with the smaller structures & fine detail that can
be seen only with a microscope.
Explain each of the "Human Life Processes" -
answer Integumentary- Components are hair,
nails, sweat and oil glands.
, Function- Helps regulate body temperature and
protects the body. Helps make vitamin D,
eliminates some waste, & detects some sensation
such as touch, pressure, pain, warmth/cold.
Skeletal- Components are bones and joints & there
associated cartilages.
Function- Supports & protect the body, provides a
specific area for muscle attachment, assist with
body movement, stores cells that produce blood
cells & stores minerals and lipids (fats).
Muscular- Components- Specifically refers to
skeletal muscle tissue, which is muscle usually
attached to bones (other muscle tissue include
smooth and cardiac)
Function- Participates I'm brining about body
movements such as walking, maintains posture
and produces heat.
Nervous- Components- Brain, spinal cord, nerves,
and special sense organs such as eyes & ears.
Function- regulate body activities through nerve
impulses by detecting changes in the environment,
interpreting the changes, & responding to the
changes by bringing about muscular contractions
or glandular secretions.
