problem solving which is a big reason i decided to study math and statistics in college.

describe a time you had to make a decision with little information - ANSWER - Over the pandemic, I
worked in a small bakery as the assistant baker- It could get stressful working there because there wasn't
a large staff and the pandemic also complicated things
- One day, it was just me and the cashier working, the head baker did not work that day and the owner
was not in the bakery at the time
- a customer came to the door to pick up a cake they ordered, but noticed that it did not have the writing
they had requested
- I had never decorated on a cake before and had minimal training. I called the owner and she did not
pick up, so I had to make a decision of whether to write on the cake and risk it not coming out as nicely
as it should or give it to the customer without any writing and not fully satisfy their requests. I had
watched the head baker decorate the cakes before, so using that and the amount of training I had, I
practiced what I was supposed to write on the counter and when I felt confident, I wrote on cake in
frosting. The customer was pleased with what I was able to give her and the owner was happy that I
made the decision to try and please the customer.
Proudest accomplishment - ANSWER - My proudest professional achievement was completing my
project at my summer internship. I was on the Loss Trends Analytics team at Liberty Mutual and was
tasked with updating the longterm baseline loss trends for property lines
