Case Study - ANS-In one POCT program serving over 4,000 POCT operators, 2 nurses

Cause of Color Blindness - ANS-Color blindness is caused by a defect in retinal cone
cells that affect how they absorb light. Cones sense red, green, or blue light, so these
are the colors affected in variations and degrees.

*-bacterial colony assessment*
*-gram stain*
POCC must reinforce the importance of accurate color vision.

Depending on the state requirements, many other hospital professionals are also

Ishihara Color Test - ANS-This can test for red/green colour blindness but not blue
colour blindness. This is the test most likely to be used for routine color vision screening
in schools or medicals. It contains 38 plates of circles created by irregular colored dots
in two or more colors.
