How CT works ANS - X-ray tube rotates around the patient.

The beam will image a slice of the body whilst rotating.
The photons interact with matter and the ones that pass through the patient will reach the detector.
Detector = measures the amount of photons attenuated at different angles → allows for 3D imaging.
Each voxel (measurement of volume, like a pixel) on the image is assigned a Hounsfield unit.
