1.Directly experiencing the traumatic event. EXPERIENCE



2.Witnessing in person the event WITNESS
occur to others.

3.Learning that the traumatic event occurred to a
family member/close friend. LEARN/HEAR
(In cases of actual/threatened death of family member
event must be VIOLENT/ACCIDENTAL).

4.Experiencing repeated/extreme exposure to aversive
details of the event.
(ex. police officer) REPEATED EXPOSURE
