Nursing Assessment Emily now refuses to administer her own insulin, cries each time she gets her insulin injections, and constantly sneaks candy and cookies from the cabinet. She missed more than 15 days of school during the last 9 -week marking period and is in danger of failing. She no longer plays soccer or softball; instead, she spends almost a ll of her time in her room watching television. Emily constantly fights with her two younger brothers and refuses to do her family “chores.” Her parents disagree about discipline, especially when it comes to Emily.
