Course Description
This course expands the knowledge and skills of health assessment
principles to perform a thorough psychiatric mental health assessment. The
Scope and Standards of Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice Advanced
Practice Competencies will be introduced. The psychiatric interview will be
explored, including interview techniques.
Students will develop assessment techniques related to psychiatric
history and the review of systems for mental health clients across the
lifespan.
