Makate v Vodacom (Pty) Ltd (CCT52/15) [2016] ZACC 13; 2016 (6) BCLR 709 (CC);

Facts:
- Nkosana Makate claimed that he had approached Vodacom with the idea for the
"Please Call Me" service, which allows users to send a free text asking someone
to call them back. 1
- Makate argued that Vodacom had agreed to compensate him for the idea but failed
to do so adequately. 2
- Vodacom acknowledged the inception of the idea but contended that the
compensation offered was fair and rejected Makate's claim for a substantial
amount. 3
