This document are some notes i made for the ATPL subject Principles of Flight. It is not a complete summary but just some information i found important during the lessons. I made the notes for my ATPL theory, i passed all 13 subjects with an average of 93%.

-L= W x cos γ (:=climb, x=descent)
-T= D + W sin γ (+=climb, -=descent)
-R= (TAS2 : (g x tan Φ)) (Let op: TAS = m/s)
For increase in lift during a turn
-1 : cos bankangle = loadfactor. For example: 1 : cos 60 = 2 . So the lift is doubled.
Climb gradient
-Climb gradient = Tan γ x 100% (100 m horizontally -> ….. m vertically)
γ = Climb angle
Φ = Bank
