Dark Web is an action packed suspense story. The events take us fromGauteng to the Western Cape, and from Turkey to Italy. Various exciting events
are taking place at this time and in these places. Emotions ride a seesaw: trust
and mistrust are intertwined, friendship and hostility run rampant. The story
mainly revolves around the two main characters Greg Owen and Xander
Gericke. They have an extremely complex relationship after Xander's white
revenge on Greg destroys them as a family. However, Greg needs Xander's
help to lead him to the Baker. Both young men have reason to retribution and
try to get hold of the Baker: Xander wants revenge for the Baker's part in his
father's execution and death. Greg wants to see justice done, so he wants to
track down the Baker and have him locked up for his part in Project Nursery
Rhyme. Doc Pienaar and Greg's father were tried and found guilty of murder
and terrorism, while the Baker walks free. Following are the most important
places where events take place. Important events that take place and are
directly related to the storyline are indicated under each place name:
Stellenbosch
Greg meets the Baker at a party in Cape Town without realizing that it is him
He decides to enlist Xander's help in tracking down the Baker
He receives a secret book from an unknown person which is delivered by
courier
Xander sends Greg two important packages by courier
Xander's hacker buddy Tom visits Greg and is brutally murdered
Greg chases Xander through the streets of Stellenbosch and through the
Botanical Garden
Plank plants the transponder meant for Greg in his hand
Greg is instructed to prepare to leave for Istanbul

Greg's first encounter with Xander ends disastrously
Greg and Plank meet Ayla - she becomes an important part of the events
Various possible plans of action are discussed, drawn up and tried out Greg is
introduced to the dark web for the first time Xander and Ayla discover the
burned book in Greg's luggage Greg-their lives are threatened and they decide
to flee Greg is faced with a difficult choice: Xander or Plank

Xander gets "back-door access" to the Baker's computer and finds his address
Greg visits the Baker's place and sees a woman with him When Greg and
Xander get there the next day, the Baker is gone Greg meets the Baker at the
David statue but doesn't realize it's him Dirk Schutte chases Greg and Greg
thinks that he could be the Baker Greg meets Dirk at the Palazzo Vecchio and
receives bad news about his father Greg and them leave Florence and travel to
Venice where the Baker is apparently

Dirk identifies the Baker as doctor Sebastian Stadler
They put plans into action to catch the Baker with facial recognition software
Greg and Plank are reunited, but they are led into a trap They are confronted
by Valkyrie and the Baker in the Royal Gardens Xander shoots the Baker dead
, in revenge for the murder of his father Plank dies when Valkyrie avenges the
Baker's murderer
