Eagle Scout Board of Review Q/A Solved Correctly!!
What will you do as an Eagle Scout to give back to Scouting?
What I will do as an Eagle Scout to give back to scouting is help my leaders and other
scouts learn how to get to where I am by being a good role model and teaching the
other scouts how to do things. For example if one scout needed to know what its like to
be a scribe on the PLC, then I would tell the scout about how I take notes during the
meeting and what would happen when the meeting is done.
What do you believe our society expects from an Eagle Scout?
I think our society expects leadership and teaching skills to be used on other scouts and
people. I also think society wants them to be a good role model and to know how to do
most things.
Of all the patches on your uniform, which one means the most or which one of
them are you proudest to wear?
Of all the patches on my uniform, it would be the eagle scout patch which I would be
proudest to wear since it shows the hard work it took to get to were I am today.
If you could do it all over again, would you, and why?
If I could do it all over again, I would take the time to do more merit badges because I
was mostly just trying to get my ranks done and didn't really think earning a lot of merit
badges was a good use of my time. I have been recently looking at doing more merit
badges because I once tried one before that I thought I wouldn't like and I liked it a lot. It
was the Electricity merit badge and I would like to finish the hiking merit badge next.
What lessons did you learn from the Eagle process and how do you think those
lessons will help you in your future endeavors? In other words, what will you take
away from this experience?
What I will take away from this experience is that being a leader is important because it
helps you and a group of people accomplish big tasks that couldn't be taken on by a
single person. Also in a group, every single member matters from the captain to the
person that picks up trash (generally).
How would you describe the effort you have put into your Scouting career?
I would describe the effort that I put into my scout career as diligent. It took a long time
and a lot of work to get to eagle rank, and there was especially some merit badge
requirements or rank requirements that took a long time to do. The longest time
something took me to complete in scouts was my eagle scout project, but the second-
longest was the between the personal fitness and family life merit badges because of
there 6 month requirement you have to do.
What advice would you give to a new Scout?
The advice I would give to a new scout is to never give up on scouts. Most of the scouts
I knew that left in my troop left because they were too bored or the requirements were
too hard or some other reason. If they would've stayed, we could've had 2 eagle scouts
help teach the troop about scouting.
You are about to breathe your last breath. What is the one Scouting memory
(beginning with Cub Scouts and going all the way through) that is going to put a
smile on your face?
The one memory that I had and was quite enjoyable was when I went caving at
Marango Cave as a boy scout with my class A on. This was one of my first outings and

, it was a little funny and memorable that I didn't know the rules and I put on my uniform
and went caving in it.
How do you balance accomplishments you are so proud of such as your Eagle
with the peer perception that Scouting is uncool?
I personal just had a goal in mind since cub scouts to become an eagle scout because I
had always imagined those guys as intelligent, tough looking dudes that would be cool
to be with. Then when I entered boy scouts, I heard anybody could be a an eagle scout
and this encouraged me even when things took a long time to do.
What is the most pressing issue today? Why?
The most pressing issue of today is coronavirus because it is currently going around as
a pandemic and will affect or kill anybody. This makes more of the meetings I go to
happen virtually so we can stay safe from each other, whether we have it or not
because it can be asymptomatic.
What point of the Scout Law do you think is the hardest for the youth of today to
follow? Why?
The point of the scout law that I think is hardest for most youth to follow today is
obedient because sometimes when a meeting is ending or when its a regular outing,
I've noticed that scouts in my troop will mess around instead of completing a task for a
merit badge or requirement and may not listen to the older scouts or adult leaders.
Please stand up, give me the 12 points of the Scout Law, and tell me what each
one means to you.
A Scout is; Trustworthy- Never tells any lies and can be trusted to do any tasks asked of
them without being watched, Loyal- Will always do the right thing the right person says,
Helpful- will provide assistance if someone is in need of help, Friendly- Will not be rude
or bullying to anybody no matter who it is or there characteristics, Courteous- Will act in
a nice and polite manner or civilized, Kind- Will be gentle or nice with whatever task
they are given, Obedient- Will do and any task that is not bad and given by a person,
Cheerful- Will always act in a joyful and happy emotional state, Thrifty- Will always be
prepared in case of back up problems, Brave- Will always take on a challenge now
matter how big or small it is, Clean- Will always make sure to keep self, areas, and
other things clean for respect, and Reverent- Will always put God before everything and
will respect him in prayer
Tell me which is more important: earning the rank of Eagle or wearing it?
Earning the Rank of Eagle is more important because it proves you know how to survive
life and that you are prepared to go into the world. The Badge is just more or less a
thing to display to show that you know what to do.
Why should we declare you an Eagle Scout tonight? In other words, how have
you demonstrated the characteristics of an Eagle Scout and what is our
assurance that you will continue to use them throughout your life?
I should be an Eagle Scout because I have worked hard to obtain the skills and
completed requirements to get here. I have learned and demonstrated leadership and
planning skills, and your assurance that I will continue to use these skills when I lead a
group of programmers as a team for a job to make an application for a company and
before that, I will plan how I will do it and what needs to be done before I get started.
If you could talk to anyone throughout history, who would it be and what would
you talk about?
