, LO1 Explain the purpose and scope of Human Resource Management in terms of
resourcing in your chosen organisation with talent and skills appropriate to fulfill
business objectives
The main scope of Human Resources Management is to ensure the
availability of the right and the most suitable employees for the right job. This is
to increase the overall business productivity to the avoidance of errors and waste
of personnel skills in jobs that are not suitable for a specific person.
Talent Management
According to undertaken research by Dries (2013), the talent management is
governed by tensions that are linked to the value and description of talent and
talent management. In addition to this, further research undertaken by Swailes
(2013) has defined that only 20 percent of the top employees of a business are
admitted to be top talent. Meaning that up to twenty percent of employees are not
within an organizational talent management System.
Therefore, it is important that Tesco is investing training and incentives in all
employees; in order to ensure their talent management is constantly growing,
allowing the business to have an increased competitive advantage. At Tesco,
talent management is based on a range of activities such as provision of a good
and safe working environment programmers as well as a recruitment talent
analysis that is more recommended to employees that have a good routine within
the working environment as per Rosethorn (2009). Therefore, Human
Resources Management should ensure that the employees are trained in order
to provide good working environment while working towards business objectives.
