1.0 Inleiding/probleemomschrijving:
In de thuiszorg komt Ambulante compressie therapie(Act-zwachtelen)met regelmaat
voor (Zarchi & Jemec, 2014).
Het doel van ACT zwachtelen is om het vocht uit de benen te stuwen
(trombosestichting, z.d.). De kuitspier werkt bij de cliënt niet effectief genoeg meer
om het bloedtoevoer naar het hart terug te stuwen of de kleppen zijn versleten. De
kuitspier heeft ondersteuning nodig en dit wordt gedaan met compressie van
buitenaf. Door Ambulante compressie therapie toe te passen wordt er druk
uitgeoefend waardoor het bloed terug naar het hart wordt gestuwd. Omdat de
kuitspier in dit proces gestimuleerd moet worden is het belangrijk dat desbetreffende
cliënt goed beweegt (Dcop,2013).
