EL PENSAMIENTO FILOSÓFICO ANTERIOR A PLATÓNLa filosofía surgió gracias a las colonias griegas de la Jonia y de la
Magna Grecia en el siglo VI a.C como alternativa racional a las
explicaciones de carácter mitológico. En la filosofía de Platón hay
que distinguir dos épocas: La filosofía presocrática y la Ilustración
ateniense.
Los filósofos presocráticos fueron los primeros filósofos antes de
Sócrates, es decir en el siglo V a.C. , ellos se centraban en
problemas físicos, la naturaleza y el cosmos, es decir , estudiaban
la naturaleza e intentaban encontrar el origen del universo.
Los filósofos Jonios basan sus investigaciones en la información de
los sentidos, algunos de los Jonios más importantes fueron los de
Mileto.
El primer filósofo fue Tales de Mileto, que creía en el agua como el
principio del universo, el siguiente filósofo fue Anaximandro ,
también nacido en Mileto, que pensaba que el principio del
universo era el apeiron, osea un elemento indeterminado que
pudiera ser eterno e inmortal , el siguiente filósofo fue
Anaxímenes, el consideraba que el principio del universo no era ni
el apeiron ni el agua, sino que para él era el aire, por último estaba
Heráclito, que consideraba el principio del universo estaba en el
fuego, Heráclito defendía el cambio del ser y la constante
transformación “No te puedes bañar dos veces en un mismo río”.
En cambio los Filósofos Eleáticos (itálicos) desconfían de los
sentidos y confían en la razón y los pensamientos, dentro de los
filósofos Eleáticos, cabe destacar a Parménides y Zenón.
