"revolutionary movement by those of American birth" in her Pacific Island homeland. While the

royal party sent a ship out to Honolulu she noticed that the Americans were taking over her land.




Queen Liliuokalani ✔✔Queen Liliuokalani wanted Hawaiians to regain economic control of

their islands by taking away the powers of American sugar planters but unfortunately she was

overthrown. She was removed from power but continued to fight to get back the throne. She was

the head Of the Oni pa'a movement and she appealed U.S. government to. Do justice and restore

her this property. Eventually, Lilioukalani was overthrown and Hawaii joined the United States.




King Kamehameha I ✔✔King Kamehameha unified the Hawaiian islands at the time Americans
