Gram-negative bacteria have greater concentrations of peptidoglycan meaning their
walls are thinner. They have channels rather than pores to allow the flow of
molecules.
And gram-positive bacteria do not have an outer membrane but have a thicker wall
that is somewhat porous due to its barbed wire-like structure.
