Ø Gamete A specialised sec cell, usually a male sperm and a female egg/ovum. They c

Ø Fertilisation When a sperm moves to an egg cell/ovum and the two nuclei fuse together

Ø Asexual Asexual uses no specialised gametes and no fertilisation. Instead, cells in one
body divide by mitosis to create a genetic copy of the parent. Good form of
reproduction if the environment is stable otherwise adaptation cannot occur
eliminate the species
Ø Germination The sprouting of a seed – when the plumule and radicle develop
Ø Ovulation The discharge of ovules or ova from the ovary
Ø Oestrogen Produces the female secondary sex characteristics e.g. breast development
Ø Testosterone Produces the male secondary sex characteristics e.g. growth of penis & facia
