1) Did your group communicate effectively during this task, why or why not?
Ans. Our group confronted effective communication indeed. The collaborators were quite god
at managing a good conversation cycle amongst the group which allowed each one of us to
develop trust and harmony within the team members. One of the major reason for this the
receptive environment that my dear mates had created. In addition to that, the team members
were quite articulate that is, they have ability to express their message efficiently and
according to me, these two factors are the most important for a group to conversate perfectly
and achieving the targeted goal at the right time without any wastage of resources.
2) What barriers did your group have that impacted effective communication?
Ans. According to me, the major barrier for any group activity while communicating are
language barriers or the emotional barriers. But fortunately, none of them hindered our task.
Besides, there was a sense of trust and belief amongst us which helped us grasp more
knowledge, exposure and experience about group ethics and communication.
3) In terms of communication what were your strengths in today’s exercise?
Ans. Being a group member, I think that being a good listener helped me a lot in achieving
my desired goal and communicating better in the group. It is indeed necessary to be a good
listener unless there may be psychological barriers like distrust, pre-mature evaluation or lack
of attention. In addition to that, being able to clearly express my message to the other member
was a beneficial thing for me and therefore, I would say that these two become my strength in
the given task because these aided me in understanding the situation and reacting in the best
possible way.
4) In terms of communication what can you work on this semester to assist your transition
into a professional work setting?
Ans. Referring to the aspect of communication, I’ll perhaps try my best to engage as much as
possible in conversating and socialising with people. It is so because this help a lot in
expressing your message to the listener effectively in a way that their feelings are not harmed,
and the message is decoded in the appropriate way as well. Besides, I would like to enhance
my persuasion powers in a positive manner because sometimes, due to lack of persuasion
level, one fails to encourage the listener to react or give feedback about former’s message.
Therefore, in the nutshell, I would say that although I have some of the communication skills,
but I need to grow up more and more so as to develop my socialising power and enhance my
personality with groomed up communication skills.
