, Introduction:
During this assignment, I did one practical for each subject. For biology, I performed the
chromatography of plant pigments using both paper and TLC plates; the entire process of this
was to separate the plant pigment to see what it consisted of. For chemistry, I performed titration
and colourimetry which was split into 4 parts where each part contributed to the success of the
practical. For physics, I performed calorimetry; I tried to work out the cooling curve of both
paraffin wax and stearic acid.

Whilst performing the practical, I feel that I have developed much more then my peer due to me
reflecting about the mistakes I may have made or ways I could have improved and then thinking
of ways I could have made the practical much more reliable and accurate. Most of the skills in
the table I feel were really ones that just needed practicing and were not absolutely necessary to
getting correctly only refining so I got accurate results consistently. Whereas, they had
amendments which needed sorting out as they affected the results dearly. For example, they got
the incorrect amount of solution poured into the beaker making the results much less accurate
and needing immediate adjustment.
