In Asia, opium was the cause of the european imperialism. China was a marketplace for opium and
when it was put to an end because of serious social and economical problems, the british were
outraged and sought to attack chinese to reopen the Opium trade. In late august, the british captured
nanjing and put an end to the fighting.
