Introduction to my business


In this following task, I will be planning and creating a social media business which I chose
the name of which is called Shoeniverse. The main of this use of this business will be to
produce, advertise and sell shoes globally. The business is right now is located in the UK and
there is currently 2 stores. The business mainly sells shoes and other foot accessories.
However in the period of 2 months, this business has been growing rapidly and with the
help of social media this can hugely benefit a business. Furthermore I will be producing a
plan to use social media in a business and also I will review the plan with others to get their
opinion.



Business requirements for using social media


Business may use social media as there are many benefits to using it. A benefit of using
social media is I can promote the brand broadly to as many target audiences as possible.
The reason for promoting the brand is so many new customers can come and order online
or buy the shoes or accessories in stores. On Shoeniverse social platform, there will be
information and links that can redirect new users to a different web page telling them about
the business and how to order from their website.
Another benefit of using social media can be businesses can use it to allow customer
interaction with the business like for instance: a customer that wants to contact the
business regarding a specific query. Also business have another use of their social page
which if a customer has a complaint about their experience with the business, the business
will reply to them swiftly using social media as it can prevent reputation damage.
Complaints by the customers can happen with any business and it is necessary that business
should respond in respectful, well-mannered way.
Another business requirement is to add a bot that censors negative words so people don’t
create havoc and can be respectful. Business would need a strict policy that does not
tolerate this behaviour like for example. Users cannot enter the website for 24 hours if they
post a comment containing any violent words. Another business requirement of using social
media can this business will need to use social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter etc to expand their brand to a larger audience with the use of social platforms. As of
today, many people have smartphones and have access to these platforms. Many other
benefits of having a social media presence for a shoe company include decreased marketing
expenses, increased traffic, and increased visibility. Having an increase in traffic would
greatly assist the company in building up their follower base on the networks and promoting

their services, and having an increase in exposure will assist the company in reaching the
broader audience the business needs.
Businesses should avoid using older ways of advertising such as billboards, newspapers as
they cannot reach a wider audience. Also its expensive to advertise through these
traditional methods. Thus businesses using social media to advertise is cheaper and can
save lots of money for the business. Similarly, social media helps consumers to connect and
engage with a company while also allowing the company to provide customer service.
Finally, social media aids companies in cultivating trust among their loyal customers.
Moreover, business targets will differentiate depending on the site of the public profile,
assuming that as the reputation and exposure of the business grows on the social media
platform, the organisation would need to create new objectives. For instance, if the business
gains over 3000 followers in the first month of being on the platform, the organisation
would need to build innovative new targets.




Target audience of Shoeniverse and Choice of social media platform
to use



As the target audience of this business, it will be aimed at most people that like shoes which
is mostly the younger/ mid audience which are the 13-40 year olds as this business will sell
up to date sneakers and accessories for sports for people that are athletes, looking to play
football. Furthermore, I chose Instagram as the main social media platform I would be using
as the target audience of Instagram is similar to Shoeniverse business. This means most
people withing the age of 13-40 year olds will be active mostly on Instagram and can
potentially look and buy from Shoeniverse business.



Success criteria

Furthermore, any users visiting the page and buying the shoes will mean that the page is
effective in its function of promoting and advertising the company in order to attract
potential customers, which would indicate that the site is productive in its purpose of
gaining potential customers. Supportive comments and reviews from customers and tourists
to the business page will also show the page's progress. Furthermore, the popularity of the
page could be determined by its followers, for example, if the company begins to gain
followers as a result of suggestions made.

To determine the effectiveness of the proposed social media page for this company, any rise
in takeaway orders or seat bookings attributed to social media will demonstrate that the
page is successful. Any favourable feedback from customers suggesting a positive
experience with the restaurant's services and food would also show the page's progress.
I would like my business to be big and have many followers which my target is 800+
followers when social media pages are created. Also I would like to have more than 80 likes
per post which the more likes a post has, the more popular and relevant it is. Another
crucial target I would want for my business is fast respond time which if a customer has any
queries, they should get a reply back in the first hour. This will persuade the viewer that you
value them and want to establish a close relationship with them. Furthermore, within the
business, roles will vary. For example, a customer service employee will respond to
customer requests and inquiries, while an analyst will concentrate on collecting essential
data and knowledge for the company. A salesperson, on the other hand, will be responsible
for maintaining client relationships, setting priorities and goals, and finding and contacting
prospects.

audience months and get an average 70-80 likes per post and more than
50 comments. If the target has been accomplished, then I will
create a new goal for another 900 followers and 100 likes per
post.
