The notion of iCARE in caring is a tool or framework developed to assist nursing staff
and the healthcare workers drive their purpose and philosophy. This notion contains the much
more fundamental yet critical elements which have a substantial influence on clinical care and
client results. Compassion, activism, resilience, and evidence-based practice are among these
components. Interprofessional collaboration in nursing is not a new concept (Moss et al., 2016).
The advantages of interprofessional collaboration exceed the apparent limitations. The use of
interprofessional cooperation in healthcare, along with the idea of iCARE, has enhanced
considerably the patient experiences as well as the level of service offered by health facilities
according to Reeves et al., (2017).
The facility I chose this paper is where I completed my clinical training, a critical unit
hospital, specifically the intensive care units (ICU) wherein individuals with catastrophic statuses
and critical ailments are catered for. The interprofessional team at the critical unit hospital
included consultant doctors, ICU doctors, the medical pharmacists, ICU nursing staff, dietitians,
nurses’ assistants, ICU technicians, and ICU housekeepers. The consultant specialist was
generally significant to offer medical directions on how to handle the patients in collaboration
with the entire team members. The team leads were the ICU doctors, who were in responsibility
of receiving instructions from the consulting doctors and executing judgments in conjunction
with the team. There is support from both research and clinical data showing the adoption of
multidisciplinary team and the deployment b of iCARE ideas is related with better client results.
Compassion
In nursing practice, according to Ledoux et al., (2018) compassion is a significant aspect
and a key characteristic that feature how nurses appreciate others' pain. empathetic nursing care
