06.04 Assessment Template
1. Select ONE source to analyze.
First Selected Source Title:
Document 3: Call for Unity Between Black and White Laborers
2. Write a oneparagraph thesis response to the prompt that uses only your background
knowledge and this one chosen document.
Thesis Response:
During the 1920’s, conflicts between cultures became a large problem changed society.
People of different backgrounds, races, and classes were pushed to come together to fight for
a common goal. Document 3, Call for Unity Between Black and White Laborers, shows the
need for people, no matter if they’re black or white need to come together and fight against
capitalist employers for “better wages, shorter hours, and better working conditions”. The
Document also shows the need for women and children to also join in the fight. This
Document is an example of the need for people to work together and achieve something
great, which was eventually done.
3. Analyze ONE additional source from the list above. Examine the prompt again and your
thesis response.
Second Selected Source Title:
Document 2: AntiLynching Broadside
4. Write a second paragraph reflection explaining if and how you would change your thesis
based on this additional document. Explain your reasons for changing or not changing your
thesis.

working together and fighting against something that they do not believe is right, is the best
