Un ejemplo muy importante de esto son los alimentos transgénicos que gracias al
aporte de la ingeniería genética hoy en día podemos tener variedades de alimentos de
mejor calidad , mas nutritivos .El principal objetivo es aumentar la productividad de los
cultivos y ayudar a la agricultura sustentable donde esta utilice recursos sanos para
mejorar los alimentos eliminando sustancias toxicas , bacterias o mejorando sus
componentes para lograr alimentos mas saludables , evitando enfermedades o
cualquier tipo de daño a la salud de las personas.
Los alimentos transgénicos han tenido un impacto muy importante en la sociedad,
gracias a estos han apoyado a muchos factores como economía, variedad,
alimentación, un ejemplo es el elevado valor nutricional de vitaminas, minerales,
ácidos y grasos. Otro ejemplo es la utilidad que tienen al estar la población en
constante crecimiento, ya que los alimentos transgénicos son una opción viable para
mantenerla alimentada y nutrida. Los transgénicos tienen mejor sabor y una mayor
duración, crecen más rápido que los cultivos tradicionales. Además, son muy
resistentes a condiciones perjudiciales como pestes, sequías, lo que no solo provoca un
incremento en rendimiento, sino que también reduce en gran cantidad la utilización de
químicos dañinos y la deforestación.
