Open book and take-home examination, which you have to write within 2 hours and submit online. The exami-
nation time is 03 July 2020, 15:00-17:00 hours.
This web based examination remains the property of the University of South Africa and may not be distributed
from the Unisa platform.
This examination allows downloading the question paper once at the beginning at then uploading it once after
the end of the examination. Hence, keep your answer sheets in order, scan them in correct order and upload a
single .pdf file. You shall have a window of 60 minutes after the end of examination to upload your answers.
Declaration: I have neither given nor recieved aid on this exmaination.
• The paper consists of 6 pages, including this page.
• There are two sections Section A (for students using the current text book) and Section B (for students
writing the supplemntary examination using the previous text book). You have the option to answer from
EXACTLY ONE of the two sections.
• Answer all the questions from the section you choose.
• Each answer must start from a fresh page with the Question number clearly indicated on the top.
• All workings with reasons should be clearly stated without which marks will not be awarded. Hence give
logical reasonings for each and every step that leads to your answer.
• Conceptual errors shall be penalised heavily; computation errors shall be minimally penalised.
• Before starting your upload check that you have included all the pages in correct order and placed upright.
• Pages which are indistinct or are not upright shall be rejected and evaluated zero.
