Investigation methods
There are a lot of different investigation method that needs to be done before construction work is
started. This is the place where most of the financial plan should be spent, to eliminate many of the
vulnerabilities around developing an establishment on obscure ground. This can be characterized as

Desktop survey
A desktop survey is when the internet looking through books is involved such as searching through

Online maps:
The internet has made it simple to access the satellite view of the potential site, it will also reveal the

the satellite view photo. The satellite view maps will show the water courses which is the ‘strict
planning regulation’ that is compulsory on any building development that is near flood plains. It can
reveal the tree that are not allowed to be cut down and also online maps show the archaeological
features, which is the historical asset such as the old buildings that are not allowed to be destroyed
as they are protected under the planning law. If the online map shows any of the features, then the
project will have to be delayed as archaeological will have to dig which increases the cost as the
developer will most likely have to pay for the work that needs

Aerial Photographs are useful as they take photographs from
above. It is a small plane that can take a scaled picture, so a
drawing plan can be created. It is mainly provided by
contractors that are experienced.

can show the history of the site and can provide valuable such as
the footpaths and roadways and also it might show the
