by stating that the federal government possesses only those powers delegated to it by
the states or the people through the constitution.

once. ( only can serve for 2 terms or ten years

, 23rd Amendment - Extends the right to vote in the presidential election to citizens
residing in the district of columbia by granting the district electors in the electoral
college; as if it were a state

How many electoral votes are needed to win the Presidential election? - 270 which is
majority of the 538 total votes

How many branches does the Government have? - 3
Legislative- makes the laws and reps the people and is made up of
congress(senate&house)

The features/ weakness of the articles of confederation - It created one branch of
government; A legislative branch that could make laws. It took all 13 states to agree in
order to make a change to the articles. Each state had one vote in the legislature
(regardless of how many people lived in a state that state got one vote) They could
declare war and peace and they could print currency. Many features actually proved to
be weakenes and the government it created proved not to be strong enough to survive

The features of the Virginia plan and The New Jersey plan and what type of state each
plan favored and how - Virginia plan- 3 branches of gov; Bicameral legislature, and
representation in the legislature based of population. his plan was liked by the states
with lots of population because it meant they would get more votes in the legislature so
it is called the large state plan(like by the large states)
New jersey plan; 3 branches of government; unicameral legislature, and equal
representation. this was really very similar to the articles of confederation because the
smaller weren't terribly upset with that plan because it gave them equal power and they
didn't want to lose that.

Impeachment and how the process works in the US government. - To impeach is to
accuse. The house of reps. impeaches. The senate hears the impeachment trial and
decides if the person is guilty or not. If the senate finds the person guilty then the person
has to leave office.
