In this report I will be evaluating how my presentation for my business went, what could
have been improved and what I did successfully.

Presentation Material 4 I believe that the PowerPoint was well designed as it was colourful
quality of material used but also professional and contained important information about
why my business will be a success. However, it could have been
slightly more to the point.
Delivery of Presentation 4 I spoke clearly without notes and maintained good eye contact,
however I forgot to ask if anybody had any questions after
delivering my speech which made my presentation less
professional.
Dress Code 3 I think that I could have dressed more professionally for my
presentation, however it was not too unprofessional which is why
I would rate my dress code a 3 out of 5.
Language Used 4 My speech contained professional language, containing business
terms and convincing language in order to make my presentation
a success. However, I believe that it could have been more to the
point.
Ability to Answer 4 I answered questions to the best of my ability with accurate

rate this excellent was because I forgot to ask if anyone watching
my presentation had any questions.

On the peer assessment, the comments I received were ‘Well communicated’, ‘Could have
brought in an example’, ‘Detailed presentation with all areas covered well’ and ‘Could have
asked if anybody has questions’. While my peer’s observations mainly matched my own
observations, the peer assessment for my performance shows that the quality of the
material I used for my presentation was better than what I thought it was, as I was given a
score of 5 for this from my peer, but I only rated myself a 4 for presentation material in my

, self assessment. Additionally, I thought that my communication and negotiation skills were
better than the score I received on the peer assessment, as I gave myself a score of 4 for this
factor but received a score of 3 from my peer. This is due to the fact that they noticed the
fact I had forgotten to ask if any of the audience members watching my performance had
any questions that I could answer in order to prove I had a good ability to answer questions
and to give a high-quality pitch to anyone with an interest in my business.

From the feedback I have received from this peer assessment, it is clear that the peer
thought my dress code and communication and negotiation skills were poor, but
presentation content and material were excellent. While I also rated my dress code poor in
my self assessment, I thought that my communication and negotiation skills were good as I
answered questions well and made eye contact throughout the presentation, but from this
information I know that this is an area I will need to make improvements in for the future.
Therefore, in order to improve my pitch, the peer assessment shows that I should have
dressed smartly, asked if anybody watching the performance had any questions and worked
on communicating more clearly and in a professional manner to sell my pitch to the
audience.

Overall, from my performance, the peer assessment I received shows that I was very
knowledgeable on the questions I was asked and was able to answer in great detail, I
presented my pitch well with all the relevant facts and information that somebody
interested in my business will need to know and the material of my presentation was
outstanding. However, what did not go so well was the fact that I did not bring in a sample
of the product I will be selling for my business to fully show the audience what my business
will be about, not dressing smartly enough to look professional for this pitch and forgetting
to ask if anybody watching my performance had any questions in order to clear up any
confusion that the audience may have, and for them to understand why I believe my
business will be a success.
