, FRICTION
There are 2 types of friction:
• Static friction: friction on an object that is standing still
• Kinetic friction: Friction on an object that is moving

Static friction
The force of static friction Fs, is a force between two surfaces
that prevents those surfaces from sliding or slipping across each other.
The maximum static friction represents the amount of force than needs to
be applied in order to get the object to move. If the applied force is equal
to or less than the maximum static friction, the object will not move.
To calculation maximum static friction: coefficient of friction x normal force

Kinetic friction
A body moving on the surface experiences a force in the opposite
direction of its movement. The magnitude of the force will depend on the
coefficient of kinetic friction between the two material.
To calculate kinetic friction: coefficient of friction x normal force
