Safe Dosage Range: Po: adults 325-650mg q6hr or 1 g 3-4times daily. Neonates:
1015mg/kg/dose q 6-8 hr. as needed.
Indications for use: Treatment of mild pain and fever
Contraindications for use: Pervious hypersensitivity, liver disease, alcohol use
Nursing Considerations and Precautions with administration: Assess health status
and alcohol use, current OTC medication use, assess pain prior to and reassess
within an hour, assess fever and associated sings. Lab: evaluate hepatic,
hematologic, and renal function periodically (high dose). May be taken with food or
an empty stomach Adverse reaction/ side effect: hepatotoxity, renal failure,
neutropenia, pancytopenia, rash urticaria, also life threating dermatologic reaction)

Classification: Antihypertensive drug It can treat high blood pressure.

Safe Dosage Range: PO adult: 250-500 mg 2-3 times daily
PO children: 10mg/kg/day (300 mg/m2/day) may be qevery 2 days up to
65mg/kg/day in divided doses (not to exceed 3g/day)/
Indications for use: Management of moderate to severe hypertension (with other
agents).
Contraindications for use:
Hypersensitivity; Active liver disease.
Nursing Considerations and Precautions with administration:
hepatic/renal disease, hypotension. watch BUN lab results watch for sudden decrease
in BP, report dizziness or tiredness. And side effects: headache, weakness, low BP, GI
distress.
