Chapter 13: Cultural Diversity and Community Health Nursing

o Heatstroke (life-threatening) - wrap a wet sheet, move to a cooler area; watch for
hot dry skin that’s usually red, mottled, or cyanotic, loss of consciousness, or
convulsions
