The purpose of this paper is to discuss how persuasion can be used in the advertising
campaign of a new and innovative automotive vehicle, the solar car. The new solar-powered
vehicle uses solar panels as the roof of the vehicle. I will explain how the marketing campaign of
this new vehicle line will attempt to impact the three outcomes of persuasions: affective,
behavioral, and cognitive.
It is essential to take care of our environment and protect valuable resources. The new
vehicle is emission-free and uses newly discovered, cutting-edge solar. This new line of cars is
the first of its kind and most environmentally friendly vehicle ever created. We will use several
marketing campaigns, one being a “save the earth” campaign to appeal to an audience that cares
about their environmental impact. We will be an official partner to the World Wildlife
Foundation, giving 2% of all profits to save endangered species and wildlife habitats. This
campaign will include video commercials showing both all-wheel-drive vehicle models driving
through various terrains and being used for expeditions to protect wildlife. The videos will be
used for television and different social media platforms. We will have print ads distributed at the
local zoos, public parks, schools, and wildlife parks. We will measure our success by the number
of vehicles sold and through a buyer questionnaire. The advertisements platforms will display
how our new all-terrain vehicles can save the earth and the buyer's wallet.
