Davis Company Five primary theoretical approaches are introduced and used throughout Family He alth Care Nursing: Theory, Practice and Research, fifth edition: family systems t heory, family life cycle theory, family health and illness cycle model, bioecological theory, and family assessment and intervention model. These five theoretical approaches a re applied to several case studies within the text , to help nursing faculty demonstrate clinical app licability of critical concepts. The instructor ’s guide is written to be adaptable into a wide range of curricul ar frameworks , which include family nursing, such as stand -alone family nursing courses , and family nursing concepts and theory as integrated within other nursing courses.
