B. Time & Place: The industrial revolu on took place in England and started around 1760 and ended
around 1840. The French Revolu on took place around 1789 and ended with the third phase around
1799.

C. The Industrial revolu on was fuelled by increase in popula on and the rise in knowledge on modern

innova ons. As well as the enclosure movement which consisted of enclosing small pieces of land into
larger farms, where greater produc on could take place as well as the rise in Urbanisa on and the
need for labour in rural areas which was taken over by machines.

Enlightened thinking of French people was relevant in the French Revolu on, the people wanted to
separate the government into sec ons and abolish absolute rulers. A great deal of in uence came from
the American revolu on happening at the me where the French were greatly inspired by the
American cons tu on and the idea of three branches in government just how Montesquieu had

modern history. As a result, the Frankfurt Assembly came into being a er a collapse of the German
government in March of 1848. The Frankfurt Assembly strived to represent the moral compass of their
people on a wider scale, but unfortunately the delegates had no power to make this possible and failed
